We had a successful and busy time in the sunshine. Thanks to the weather, and the solar max period, many visitors had safe views of the sun’s face covered in spots.

Subject:- A Cluttered and Noisy Sky
The number of satellites in orbit around the Earth has gone up sixfold in the last six years, and there could be as many as a million by the mid 2030s. This rush to deploy constellations of spacecraft – sometimes described as a new Wild West in space – threatens to do irreparable harm to astronomy, and to the view of the universe we too easily take for granted. Dr Massey works with partners in the UK and globally to protect the sky for astronomers, and for all of us.
Guest Speaker:- Robert MasseyDeputy Executive Director of the Royal Astronomical Society
