    Exhibition ‘Stars’ with workshops run by Reading Astronomical Society. Not only great photography and telescopes showing what can be seen in the Night-sky even in light polluted Reading, but art workshops and exhibition of paintings.Free suitable for all ages.

    Monster black holes and quasars.
    In this talk I will discuss black holes: how we find them, what a “supermassive black hole” is, and the first ever images of a black hole. I will also present my own research area, “active galaxies”, which are incredibly bright galaxies powered by a supermassive black hole.”
